LatticeFlow AI joins U.S. safety consortium

Zurich - LatticeFlow AI, a specialist for project solutions on the basis of Artificial Intelligence (AI), has joined the U.S. AI Safety Institute Consortium. With this decision, the company is aiming to play its part in developing safer methods and usages of AI, in addition to minimizing risks.

LatticeFlow AI, a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), has announced it is joining the U.S. AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC). As detailed in a press release, the company is keen, alongside the other members of the consortium, to play its part in the development of methods, benchmarks and testing environments that ensure a safer use of AI and minimize the risks for businesses. The search for safe solutions of this kind is based on the fact that AI programs that function on the basis of real-world data represent a huge challenge for business security and can generate risks for business-critical processes.

For this reason, the AISIC consortium was established with the intention of facilitating the safe and trustworthy development and usage of AI, in addition to developing the standards for this. LatticeFlow AI contributed in this way by carrying out a technical AI assessment for Migros Bank.

“Joining AISIC will allow us to accelerate and broaden our impact by aligning our efforts towards ensuring AI trust and safety with global AI leaders, enterprises, and governments”, comments Petar Tsankov, co-founder and CEO of LatticeFlow AI, in the press release. ce/ww
